Travelling
fun fairs have been around for many decades, providing thrills, and
laughter for all who visit them, some are small with a dozen or so
main rides with an outer circles of booths all plying for you
well hard earned cash.
The
largest travelling fair in the United Kingdom is the St. Matthews
funfair which is held in Bridgwater, Somerset, this open for four
days, each September and is held by Royal Charter.
Within
this site we hope to capture as many fairs, as possible during our
outings to the various Carnivals held in our region, most towns
having a small travelling fair, in their town during Carnival week.
From
2008 we will also be capturing images from some of the steam
rallies around our region, but mostly concentrating on the
Langport Steam Rally in Somerset, which is very near our base.
But we hope to future other in future years.
